The Singapore Ship Series Currency Notes (1984 – 1999) feature vessels that have plied the waters of Singapore over the centuries. The $1,000 note from the Ship series was first issued on 22 October 1984, and features the container ship "Neptune Garnet" and two container quay cranes. The Singapore $1,000 banknotes are one of the world’s most valuable and sought after banknotes to own.
These currency design souvenirs:
- contain the word “SPECIMEN” in black and bold lettering diagonally across the souvenirs
- are not more than 60% of both the length and width of the genuine note
- feature only one side of the note design
