The Singapore Mint proudly presents the Singapore Currency Design Souvenirs, featuring the $1,000 Singapore Orchid Series Currency Note design.
The dominant feature of the Singapore Orchid Series Currency Notes (1967 - 1976) is a spray of orchids in the centre of the front of each note. The $1,000 note from the Orchid Series was first issued on 12 June 1967, and features the Dendrobium Kimiyo Kondo “Chay”. The Singapore $1,000 banknotes are one of the world’s most valuable and sought after banknotes to own.
These currency design souvenirs:
- contain the word “SPECIMEN” in black and bold lettering diagonally across the souvenirs
- are not more than 60% of both the length and width of the genuine note
- feature only one side of the note design
