Leslie Cheung Commemorative Medallions

Every year, fans of superstar Leslie Cheung (张国荣) from around the world would fold paper cranes in memory of him. To commemorate the fan’s endless love and bond to Leslie Cheung, his manager of 22 years, Florence Chen (陈淑芬) crafted the vintage paper crane commemorative medallion.

The commemorative medallions combine craftsmanship with thoughtful design concepts inspired by the events from Leslie Cheung’s Miss You Much 10th Anniversary Ceremony in 2013. Before the ceremony's opening, a butterfly believed to be Leslie Cheung’s incarnate entered the venue and gracefully circled above his fans before gently landing on the curtain-veiled giant sculpture of Leslie Cheung in the exhibition hall. This incredible scene quickened the fans’ heartbeat as they were folding the paper cranes for the ceremony. Hence, it became an experience beyond words can describe and never-to-be-forgotten.
