Princess To Monarch - Commonwealth Princess 925 Silver Proof Coin

The Princess to Monarch Collection consists of 24 crown-sized coins in pairs which celebrates 12 different aspects of The Queen’s life. The first coin for each theme portray Her Majesty as a princess with delicate inscriptions adorning the ‘princess’ coins, while the second coin as a monarch with bolder characters in keeping with The Queen’s stature embellishing the ‘monarch’ coins.

This Commonwealth ‘Princess’ coin depicts Princess Elizabeth opening a docking yard named in her honour on her tour of South Africa with her parents. She made her 21st birthday speech on this trip, promising to dedicate her life to the Commonwealth, calling it a “family of nations”. A budding rose hints at her future role as Head of the Commonwealth.
