The obverse side of the medallion shows our current Singapore's development, with vibrant colors depicting the modern Singapore in contrast to the reverse side minted without colors depicting the old Singapore.

2020 brings about the celebration of Singapore’s 55th birthday, which also marks the nation’s 55th year of independence.
