How can I find out the value of my coin?

The value of a coin is determined by its face value, its condition, the intrinsic value of the metal used, and the market demand for such a coin.
You may wish to conduct some preliminary research on the internet and bring your coin(s) to a few coin dealers for appraisal.

Does The Singapore Mint buy back coins?

As the appointed agent of relevant issuing authorities, The Singapore Mint is responsible for the manufacturing, and marketing of coins. Hence, we do not buy back coins.
However, we do have a trading platform for Friends-of-the-Mint to buy, sell, or trade coins.

How can I order coins from The Singapore Mint if I live outside of Singapore?

You can order them directly from The Singapore Mint through our website, or by contacting us through the telephone and e-mail.

How do I shop online?

You may wish to register for an account as a Friend-of-the-Mint to shop online.
To register, simply click on "Create an Account" on our homepage. Fill in the relevant details and upon acceptance, you can login with your email address and password to shop online at your convenience.

How will I know if my order online is successful?

Within 5 minutes upon placing an online order, you will receive an email acknowledging your order and indicating your order number.
All orders are subject to terms and conditions.

How do I check my online order status?

After you have logged in, click on "My Orders".

How and where can I collect the products I ordered?

You will receive a collection letter once your order is ready for collection. After receiving your collection letter by mail, you may then proceed to collect your order at the outlet you have specified when placing your order. Please bring along your Identity Card / Passport, and the Collection Letter.

Can I authorize someone else to collect the items I bought on my behalf?

Yes, you may do so. You can authorize another person to collect the purchased item(s) on your behalf by signing the nomination section in the original Collection Letter. Collection will only be allowed upon the nominee producing the original Collection Letter, a photocopy of your Identity Card, and the nominee's Identity Card.

The Singapore Mint reserves the right to refuse any collection of order(s) at our discretion if we are not satisfied with the proof of identity produced.

Are there terms and conditions which I have to comply with when purchasing from The Singapore Mint?

In general,

All orders are subjected to stock availability.
Allocation of orders will be by ballot where applicable and orders may be partially fulfilled without prior notice in case of over subscription.
Cancellation of order is not allowed.
The Singapore Mint reserves the right to refuse any collection of orders if they are not satisfied with the proof of identity produced.
Ownership of the goods shall remain with the Singapore Mint until all payment under the contract to purchase has been made in full.
For all goods paid in full but not collected by the customer after 12 months, we reserve the right to refund the customer the payment in full.
For payment by cheque, the order shall be void and cancelled if the cheque is not received and payment cleared within 30 days from the date of confirmation of the order.
The Singapore Mint reserves the right to reject any order on reasonable grounds.
Prices indicated do not include shipment and handling fees, insurance and any tax that may apply for customers outside Singapore.
Shipping and handling fees shall be added to the total cost of the order at the check out stage for online purchases.
All prices and offers are subject to change without prior notice.
