Member Price: S$33.00
In the Chinese culture, the fish symbolizes abundance and prosperity as the Chinese word for fish (魚yu) is pronounced the same way as abundance (裕 yu).
Koi fishes, in particular, are often considered to be symbols of wealth and good fortune.
As the Chinese saying goes, “Good things come in pairs (好事成双)”.
The latest addition to the Auspicious Icons medal collection sees the intricate design of the well-loved and auspicious Koi Fishes on a pair of limited edition Tri-Metal medallion and ingot.
On the obverse of the ingot features a pair of Koi fishes swimming around plentiful coins and ingots to symbolize good fortune, abundance and great advancements, as well as to usher boundless wealth and luck for the coming year.
On the reverse of the medallion features the Chinese characters “Nian Nian You Yu” (年年有余) to signify surplus throughout the year.
