Each coin’s obverse is double-dated (“1952-2022”) to commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It is also marked by four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins during that time.
The six coins are sealed and packaged in a custom-designed commemorative folder that fits in a collector binder. The folder’s royal purple colour and design immediately sets it apart from other sets — it is a visual tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, as we honour her extraordinary life and reign.
A certificate of authenticity and detailed coins specifications have been incorporated into the folder. The information is presented in an easy-to-read format that keeps the focus on the designs.

As we focus our attention on commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022), the Mint will not be issuing any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins featuring both the traditional reverse designs and an obverse featuring Queen Elizabeth II.
Instead, the Mint has struck a limited collector’s edition for each of the six Canadian coin denominations ($2,$1,50¢,25¢,10¢,5¢), and you’ll find one of each in this extraordinary set of non-circulation coins — collector exclusives that are not intended for circulation.
